This workshop focuses on:

• Helping individuals who have low vision feel more comfortable and confident in their ability to learn what skills, attitudes and adaptations will enable them to maximize their independence.

• Promoting an understanding of how people can best support and accommodate the needs of an individual who is experiencing vision loss.

 

Who should attend:

• Individuals experiencing vision loss.

• Family, friends, or others who support/deal with individuals experiencing vision loss.

 

Topics Include:

• Change your mindset, change your outcome. Where are you now?

• Vision Basics. Where do you fit in?

• How your current vision affects your life. Dealing with feelings, fears, and beliefs.

• How to change your attitude. Examining your emotional home.

• What success looks like for you.

• Eight areas to assess, accommodate, and improve. 

• Resources and Resourcefulness.
